Prof. Bal Ram Singh, PhD, has been a professor since 1990 at UMass Dartmouth (until 2014) and Institute of Advanced Sciences (current), conducting research on botulinum and tetanus neurotoxins, vaccines, antidotes, drug delivery, and also on yoga, mind, and consciousness, along with Ayurvedic biotechnology. He has published 15 books and over 350 articles, 10 patents latest books being A Different Take – NRI View of India in the Tradition of Ram, Krishn, and Gandhi (MLBD, 2020), Practical Techniques in Molecular Biotechnology (Cambridge, 2021), and Madhushala, (DKPW, 2022).

Prof. Singh is Editor/Associate Editor of four journals, including Biochemical and Biophysical Research Reports, Ayurveda Journal of Health and International Journal of Indian Culture and Business Management, the Editor-in-Chief of Vedic WAVES, an online blog of the World Association of Vedic Studies, and General Editor of Ayurveda - Health Happiness and Harmony Book Series, Motilal Banarasidas. He is the President of the Institute of Advanced Sciences (INADS), and Director of the Botulinum Research Center (BRC). He is the Founding Director of the Center for Indic Studies at UMass Dartmouth, the first ever Indic Studies program in the world. There he introduced a ‘Science of Kriyayoga’ course as a university science course for the first time in the world.
